The Avett Brothers have just announced their 2012 spring tour kicking off at the University of Iowa on March 7th.

There are a ton of dates on this tour including stops in New Orleans, California, Bonnaroo, Toronto, NYC, Berkley plus many more.  We’re looking forwarding to hitting up the show in Ithaca, NY.

The band is currently riding  success from their 2009  album “I & Love & You” which propelled them to fame along with an incredible performance with Bob Dylan & Mumford & Sons at the 2010 Grammy’s.

According to an interview in the June 2011 edition of Rolling Stone Magazine the band has been in the studio working on a follow up album to be released in 2012.

“We’ve recorded 24 songs, and there’s plenty more where that came from,” said singer Scott Avett
